Webinars

Ideal Health IT conducts and hosts web seminars that provide industry-specific information that is relevant to healthcare organizations.  What is different about our web seminars as compared to many you will find is that we do not actively try to sell our services as part of the webinar.  We provide content that is of use and interest to the healthcare organizations we serve.  Many of these webinars are run by Ideal Health IT staff, but others are hosted by guest presenters.  In all cases, the content is topical where we believe there is interest.

While we believe that this commitment to industry education will create interest in our own offerings, we bring this content to be of general purpose and interest to the healthcare community.

Event Summary:
The healthcare delivery landscape is changing dramatically as enterprise health information technology is being deployed in hospitals and provider organizations. ARRA programs for EHR adoption and Meaningful Use are driving many of the initiatives. Roles are changing dramatically across the organization.  Now more than ever, healthcare organizations need to know that clinical users are not only ready for the changes, but have the overall knowledge and competency to perform these key roles.

What we are facing in the US is something that healthcare organizations and healthcare trusts have been facing for more than a decade in the United Kingdom. The National Health Service in the UK has initiated programs to help with this organizational challenge. Formal competency programs related to not only functional job descriptions but overall handling of sensitive clinical information and associated workflows and processes is now part of the organizational culture.

In this webinar, TBA from Ideal Training  Services Ltd. will presenting the state of clinical informatics competency programs in the UK.  We believe this one hour Webinar will give you insight into the challenges faced in the UK, how those challenges were met, and how this will apply in the US over the next several years.

Event Summary:
Meaningful Use is top of mind in every organization.  Significant funding is available to your organization if you take part in this government program. For many organizations, millions of dollars could be available and will be lost if specific timetables are not met. However, payment is not based on acquiring and implementing an EHR system. It is squarely based on Meaningful Use of the certified EHR software.

The reality is that to take advantage of these programs you need to: select the right technology for your organization; assure yourself that your technology provider can meet current and future requirements; implement in a manner such that the right clinical and operational information can be gathered; integrate and interoperate with healthcare organizations across the extended enterprise in a standardized format; change your clinical practices to allow for the ease of clinical information gathering without impacting operational efficiency; and report the required information at the required intervals to actually get paid. All of this needs to be done while not affecting patient safety, privacy or security.

This seems like a tall order and it is. Learn how organizations are managing this process to not only take advantage of the funding but are making dramatic improvements in their own organizations. Leading healthcare organizations are using ARRA funding as a catalyst to drive clinical change.
