Company History
The genesis of Ideal Health IT starts with our
affiliate company in the United Kingdom,
Ideal Training
Services Ltd. (“Ideal”). Ideal was formed in 2004 as a
health informatics training business, providing training
to staff involved in health system implementations
within healthcare vendors and selected healthcare
provider organizations. As capability and capacity
grew, larger organizations recognized the value of
Ideal’s services. Today, some of the largest Healthcare
Trusts (hospitals) in the UK use Ideal and we are now
recognized as the leading health systems services
company operating exclusively in the healthcare sector.
The key to Ideal’s success was to create an effective
blend of employees and consultants that could meet the
infinitely variable needs of healthcare organizations.
We setup a dedicated recruitment division, brought in
the right experienced professionals and delivered an
ever increasing supply of high-quality healthcare
professionals to meet the many and variable needs of
healthcare organizations. Ideal’s aim, from day one,
was to provide healthcare organizations with a flexible
and scalable interim staffing solution to cost
effectively cope with the peaks and troughs in demand
for these skills. At Ideal we now have the largest pool
of health systems staff in the UK.
Building on the success of our training and staffing
organizations, we pursued the next stage of our
evolution by establishing a health consultancy division.
While working with our clients in the delivery of health
systems training and staffing solutions, it was clear
that our clients were looking for further support across
all functional work streams with their health systems
implementations. Further, they desired to partner with
an organization they knew and could trust. Our
specialist consultancy team and expertise was created
and continues to grow in direct response to this defined
need from our clients.
Currently, Ideal’s health IT services span
consultancy, staffing and training support across a
number of key functional work streams required for
successful health systems implementation projects, from
initial planning through to go-live support and beyond.
In the UK, our experience covers many health systems
including Cerner, RiO, iSoft, McKesson, TPP, EMIS,
various PACS systems and more. Our aim is to help
healthcare organizations ensure that they have the
capability and capacity to deliver health system
implementation projects successfully, on time, and on
budget.
The next step in our evolution is to replicate our
extremely successful business model that we have
achieved with Ideal and pass it on to our US affiliate,
Ideal Health IT based in San Diego, California.
Our clients in the UK and the US will take comfort in
the fact that both organizations have established common
methodologies, best practices and shared knowledge
gained from program successes in both countries.
Ideal Health IT is leveraging the success of the UK
while carving out it’s own identity in the rapidly
growing US health informatics market.
